Installation
Choosing the right Installer is every bit as important as choosing the right window
Many people don’t consider that even a top quality window will not look right or work correctly if poorly measured or installed.
In most cases there will be traditional style timber architraves, nosing cills or mouldings to replicate or refit that can only be carried out by an experienced, trained specialist. All the way through the process we’ll be talking to you about how the window installation will be performed and managed with special attention to protecting your home and achieving the look and finish your home deserves.

Things you'll want to know
Are they your own installers?
Installing period style windows can be quite complex - all of our teams are experienced and qualified with all the right specialised equipment and materials to hand on site - this is what they do every day.
How do you plan the work?
To minimise disruption, the work is planned so that we operate in one area at a time. Our aim is to always leave rooms clean and clear at the end of the day.
How do you protect the rooms while work is going on?
Removing old sash windows can generate a fair amount of dust and debris, so it is very important that, before we start the work in any room, we completely protect with dust sheets and plastic sheeting to protect furniture, surfaces and prevent spread.
How are the sash windows finished on the inside?
Some windows can be fitted without disturbing the internal timberwork but most do require a complete refit of new architraves, mouldings and nosing cills. Our installers are talented carpenters and the vans carry a full selection of timber sections - enabling us to reinstate the traditional look with all making good and finishing required.
And finally...
Before we leave, we'll show you how everything works, leave our 'Care & Operation' manual and even supply you colour-matched paint that you'll need for the new timberwork.
