Heritage Timber Casements in a Detached Cottage, Hampshire
We were contacted by our customer as they were looking to replace the single glazed, flush casement timber windows in their cottage. The windows were in poor condition all round, with multiple layers of peeling paint, deteriorating cills and frames, draughty and with poor thermal performance, some were even painted shut.
We supplied a couple of quotes to our customer in both Timber Alternative UPVC and our Heritage Timber range. They decided to go with the Heritage Timber Flush Casement windows for several reasons. Aesthetically they were a perfect match for the property and very much in keeping with its character. Performance wise the windows utilise slimline double-glazed units, are draughtproof and are ‘A’ rated for energy efficiency.
Inside the windows were fitted with Brass Monkey Tails handles for a traditional look and feel.
The installation team replaced not only the windows themselves, but all the internal timber sections including matching architrave and cills.
