Heritage Timber Sash Windows Oxford
Exactingly measured and eco-friendly replacements for this Oxfordshire Farmhouse
Our customer got in touch as they were looking to replace the sash windows on their farmhouse and several other casement windows on an adjacent building. The sash windows were in relatively poor condition, with multiple layers of paint, some were not functional anymore and they were all single glazed which meant in the winter it was inefficient to keep the property warm.
After a visit from Tony who demonstrated a range of window types and styles, the decision was made to replace the windows with the Bereco Heritage Timber Sash Window range. These are bespoke manufactured, high performance, carbon neutral, 100% FSC certified windows with a 60+ year lifespan and a 10-year guarantee.
As shown in the images, there were many unique elements that had to be replicated. Our experienced surveyor measured to the millimetre for each individual window section, to align with the beautiful stonework on the exterior of the property. Other elements were also matched, including an external frame facing covering the meeting rail which sat behind the stonework, shown both before and after in the images below.
As you can see from the photos, the installed Heritage Sash Windows look indistinguishable from the originals, with all the benefits of modern technology and energy efficiency.
Also shown are the Heritage Lipped Casement windows used on the adjacent building and coming from the same Heritage range they are aesthetically very traditional, technically very modern, efficient and secure.
The customer was very happy with the installation carried out by our team and subsequently asked us to replace the remaining original windows on the property as well.
