Grade II Listed Detached House in Berkshire
Efficient, Planning Approved timber windows to restore traditional character.
Our customer got in touch as they were looking to change the windows in their detached home, the original windows had been replaced with some unsuitable timber windows. The windows were inefficient, trickle vents very obviously showing, thick profiles and wide Georgian bars. This detracted heavily from the buildings listed and historic status and was out of character for the property.
After a consultation with Tony to talk through the available options, the customer decided on the Bereco Heritage Timber range as they are a perfect combination of modern technology and traditional aesthetics. Box Clever Sash Windows applied for listed building consent on behalf of the customer, which was approved, and the Bereco Heritage Timber range was deemed to enhance the character of the Conservation area and preserve its significance.
The installation team worked tidily and efficiently to replace the windows with a minimum of disruption. The customer was very pleased with the service received from us, and the quality of the products and finish.
The before and after images featured really show the difference the Bereco Heritage range made to this property.
What our customer said
“I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Box Clever. From our initial consultation with Tony, through to the completion of the job, everything ran really smoothly, (even in a wet and windy November week!) We had 14 windows and a set of patio doors replaced. The fitters were fantastic - skilled, professional, super tidy and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Our house is old and has lots of peculiarities, but the boys took this, (and our fitted plantation shutters), completely in their stride. Very grateful to have discovered this local, family business.”
