Detached Property in Hampshire
Planning approved timber alternative UPVC sash and flush casement windows
Our customer got in touch to discuss the options for replacing the sash windows and connected bay in their property. The building itself is in a Conservation Area which is subject to an Article 4 Direction. We supplied them with technical drawings, dimensions and other documents which were included in the planning application.
The sash windows and casement windows to be replaced (as you can see in the ‘before’ pictures) were very worn out, with peeling paint and inefficient single glazing, and overall, rather detrimental to the look of the building and the wider street scene.
The Ultimate Rose sash windows were approved for installation by the Local Authority, and they are almost indistinguishable from the original timber sash windows, even when viewing from close proximity. From the slim meeting rail to the Georgian Bars, every element is designed to faithfully recreate the aesthetics of a timber sash window.
The connected bay was replaced with Evolution Storm 2 flush casement windows. Much like the Ultimate Rose, this range is also designed with an array of timber style features for a traditional look, as well as very good thermal efficiency and several security features.
The installation team worked tidily, efficiently and around the day-to-day activity of the property with minimal disturbance.
The result is a transformed street view, as can be seen in the ‘After’ pictures attached to this post. The customer was extremely pleased with the result and with the service received from Box Clever Sash Windows.
